SOMMER PENNY | OWNER & STYLIST
Sommer started her career in Los Angeles at Allen Edwards Salon. This is where she mastered her trade as a hair stylist. She specializes in Schwarzkopf and L'Oreal color as well as short and long layered haircuts. She has continued her education throughout her career, she’s a certified beauty coach with the 901 girls in LA, and has also completed a course for Toni and Guy in London.
Sommer is the proud owner of Milou and is excited to share the true salon experience with Evergreen.
JESSE FLORQUIST | STYLIST
Jesse is a Colorado native and loves living in Evergreen where she grew up. Jesse married her high school sweetheart and has two beautiful girls who have her heart and soul! She received her bachelors in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University, but did not discover her true passion until after graduation.
Jesse attended the Aveda Institute of Denver and graduated at the top of her class. It is Jesse's goal to listen to her customers wants and needs in an effort to provide outstanding customer service and attention to detail. Jesse is proud to be part of the Milou family.
HEATHER JOYCE-BELL | STYLIST & MAKEUP ARTIST
Heather has been a makeup artist & stylist for over 25 years. She started her career at Style of Boston, a New Hampshire salon, where she grew up, and has been practicing in Colorado for the last 16 years. She holds cosmetology licenses in New Hampshire, California & Colorado
She has a passion for the beauty industry and weddings and specializes in airbrush or regular makeup, up-dos, airbrush tanning and hair cutting.
Heather lives in Evergreen with her husband and two beautiful girls.
KIONA PERRY | STYLIST
Kiona found her passion for hairstyling while working as a salon receptionist. At the time she was in college studying business, color theory, watercolor art, and floral design. With more than 10 years of experience, she specializes in lived-in, dimensional color, blonding, and hand-painted balayage for women's medium to long hair.
Kiona values the real relationships she builds with her clients. She recommends products, tools, and routines so their hair stays healthy and beautiful between visits. She keeps learning by taking classes from top stylists in the industry. She graduated in cosmetology from Paul Mitchell The School Denver, is certified in JZ Styles Extensions and Brazilian Blowout, and is a verified Braggn University stylist.
Kiona lives in Evergreen, Colorado, with her cat. Away from the salon, she enjoys watercolor painting, gardening, and a good book.
BECCA BRUBAKER | STYLIST
Becca began her career pursuit at the University of Colorado Denver, receiving her bachelors in sociology, minor in psychology, and certificate family and social welfare. She always knew that she had a passion for working with people and artistic creativity. She began working at a spa and realized that she loved helping people with self care and beauty.
Following in her mother and twin sisters footsteps, she decided to strive towards receiving her cosmetology license. Becca attended an apprenticeship program at the Academy of Cosmetology Arts, assisting and learning under amazing stylists.
Becca enjoys designing and mapping lash extensions for her clients as well as cutting and coloring hair. She has assisted alongside great colorists and strives to make sure each of her guests feels well taken care of and beautiful.
RACHELLE DARVIN | ESTHETICIAN
Originally from the Detroit area, Rachelle’s love for the mountains brought her to Colorado in 2000, where she graduated with a Finance degree from the University of Colorado.
Following her passion for skin care, Rachelle became a licensed esthetician in Colorado and received her education at Paul Mitchell The School in Belmar. Working in Evergreen for 20 plus years, she loves the community, the long term friends she has made here, playing with her two labs and the wide open space.
Rachelle specializes in signature facials and waxing, she continues furthering her education to offer specialized services in esthetics.
With her enthusiasm for skin care and beauty she looks forward to helping clients achieve personalized skin care regimens to promote healthy, glowing skin in and outside the treatment room.
